Detailed changes to Roam Express terms and conditions

Roam Express has revised its terms and conditions. The changes will take effect from 21 September 2010 although new fees won't be charged until 1 November 2010. A summary of the changes is set out below. Roam Express strongly encourages you to read the new terms and conditions closely to ensure you understand how the changes may impact your use of your e-TAG and your e-TAG Account. Key changes

New fees.

  • No Tag Fee. We may debit a No Tag Fee for each trip that your nominated vehicle was detected on a toll road without an e-TAG (or your account is in suspension at the time of travel). If the nominated vehicle is linked to another Roam Express Account and that nominated vehicle is detected on a toll road without your e-TAG being detected, we can choose which account we will apply the fees to for that trip (clause 7).
  • Toll Notice Fee. We may charge a Toll Notice Fee if you receive a Toll Notice and elect to charge the Toll Notice to your e-TAG Account.

Other changes

  • General. Other clauses have been included or amended for clarity, including the pre-payment amount you will be charged when your Account is opened (clause 8) and what you must do before using your e-TAG (clause 2).
